Bhai Gulab Singh (Sindh)

Bhai Gulab Singh Ji was born in 1892 at a village in the Sindh province, which is now in Pakistan. His parents were Sardar Hazura Singh Ji and Mata Sant Kaur Ji. They sent him to learn Paath (Sikh prayer) and Kirtan from the local Granthi (priest) in his village.

During the partition in 1947, as he was travelling to the Indian side of Punjab, he fell victim to the mass atrocities committed during that time. His entire family was killed except for his younger brother who managed to escape the horrors and settled down in India.

The information above was obtained from the great-grandson of Bhai Gulab Singh Ji’s brother.
