Bhai Gurnam Singh Ji hailed from the village of Pasla located in the district of Jalandhar, Punjab. He learned Kirtan from Bhai Puran Singh Ji, who was also the teacher of renowned Kirtani, Bhai Bakshish Singh Ji.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bhai Gurnam Singh Ji lived in Nairobi, Kenya for some time in the 1960s. His daughter got married in 1968 and migrated to the United States of America. Soon after, Bhai Gurnam Singh Ji also moved to America and served as a ‘Granthi’ in Yuba City, California. He did not have a complete ‘jatha’, and for this reason, he mostly performed Kirtan on his own. He passed away in early 2000.\u00a0<\/p>\n
