Bhai Gurcharan Singh Ji was the brother in law of Bhai Dharam Singh Zakhmi and Bhai Shamsher Singh Zakhmi. He was married to their sister, Bibi Gurmeet Kaur Ji. Bhai Gurcharan Singh Ji was based in the United Kingdom and he was one of the Kirtanis who performed at the Ramgarhia Gurdwara Sahib in Slough at the time Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was invited to perform.
