Devender Pal Singh was born in Patna but currently resides in Ludhiana, Punjab with his Ustad, Principal Sukhwant Singh who has taken him in as his student for many years. Veer Devender Pal began singing at the age of 9 and has won ‘Voice of Bihar’ and came in 3rd place in a competition honouring the memory of Ishmeet Singh. He is also the runner up of the Gurmat Sangeet based reality show ‘Gawoh Sachi Bani’. One of his biggest achievements was coming in at 3rd place for the 6th season of Indian Idol, during which he was the favourite of many judges, such as Asha Bhosle and also caught the attention of Lata Mangeshkar Ji. Not only is he adept at Bollywood music, he also has excellent ‘Tyari’ in Gurmat Sangeet, which can be heard in the recordings below.
